American AAdvantage

Research only. The parser reads American's award results correctly and is deliberately built with no way to fetch them.

Research onlyAll programs

The AAdvantage integration is the one place in this product where the inability to fetch is a design decision rather than an obstacle. Its transport is a class that raises a rights refusal by construction — there is no code path that could acquire an American payload, even by mistake, because American must never get an integration it has not approved.

The parser itself is real and tested: it reads American's own award results and normalises them like any other program. It is exercised against captured fixtures, which is how we keep it correct without ever pointing it at American.

Both locks are shut. American requires a written commercial agreement, and its booking path sits behind Akamai Bot Manager and refuses automated requests regardless. Nothing on this site returns AAdvantage availability, and nothing will until there is an agreement.

The integration

What the adapter reads

Each item is a field the parser extracts and a test asserts on. Anything not on this list is not something we can report.

  • Itinerary structure: origin, destination, every segment and its operating carrier.
  • Cabin per slice, so a mixed-cabin itinerary is labelled mixed.
  • AAdvantage mileage totals and the separate cash component.

The gaps

What this program cannot tell you

Listed on the same page, at the same size, as the capabilities. A limitation you have to go looking for is a limitation you will not find in time.

  • Anything at all about live AAdvantage availability. We cannot fetch it and do not try.
  • Seat counts. American's own figure is unreliable in a way that would mislead you, so we withhold it rather than pass it on.
  • Whether a partner airline shows different availability in its own program's tool.
  • Whether you personally are eligible for a given reward.

How seat counts arrive

We do not publish American seat counts. American reports zero remaining on cabins that are in fact available, so passing that figure through would state the opposite of the truth — we omit the number rather than repeat a misleading one.

How old an observation is

Not applicable while there is nothing to fetch. A parsed capture carries the time that capture was taken, never a fetch time of our own.

Booking

Search and book AAdvantage awards directly with American. We hold no inventory and take no payment for a reward seat.
